Read Receipts and tracking Info

All,

My company is moving off of groupwise onto Exchange.
In groupwise to find if a user opened an email you simply
went to sent items and looked at the properties of the
message.

In outlook it seems the only way to do this is with read
receipts. This is fine except I want to be able to tell
if someone's opened my email with out getting annoying
email sent to me telling me when they opened it. It seems
the only way to get the tracking tab in sent items to
populate is by opening the read receipt. Does any one
know of a way I can get the tracking info to show up with
out having to open a read receipt? I have tried setting
up rules but it seems you have to open the message before
it populates the tracking info.

Any help is appreciated!
Thanks,
Bob

The read receipt notices don't have to be annoying. You can set Outlook up
in Tools | Options to process them automatically (assuming idle time is
available), and you can set up a view to filter them out.

Thanks Sue for the Response,
I already have tried process receipts on arrival but it
does not seem to do anything for me. I have tried all of
the check boxes under the tracking options button with no
luck. Any suggestions?

Receipts won't be processed automatically unless there is some idle time.
