read receipt stuck in outbox

I have a user that when someone requests a read receipt the receipt gets
stuck in the outbox and all other outgoing mail gets stuck. Is this part of
new Outlook security updates? Is there a way to enable auto-sending oe read
receipts. The user responds to receipts with a send but they only get as far
as the outbox. Could this be part of a antivirus feature?

Outlook version?account type?can you delete those messages stuck in the
outbox?anyway as the first troubleshooting step,try using the repair tool to
fix your personal folders.
