read only

whenever i newly enter a certain spreadsheet, it tells me
that Lonni has made this a read-only file. im lonni and i
have not made it a read-only. why does it continue to do
this? i am the only one who acesses this spreadsheet. I
went to it through windows explorer to make sure that the
read only box wasnt checked and its not checked.

Hi Lonni

When you use a file, another file is generated in the windows/temp directory saying "I'm
using this". This extra file is cleared/deleted on close. If Excel crashes or your
computer dies from a power failure or whatever, this file won't be deleted. So clear your
Windows/temp directory and try again.
