Read only for staff

How can you set an Access database file so the accountant can make changes to
the data in the database yet staff people other than the accountant would
only be able to read the data in the database?

Thank you very much...I am now trying the Access 2002 User Level Security
Wizard...I have gone thru the steps and assigned permissions to certain users
in a new WID...however, when I exited Access and restarted the secured
database file, it said that I (the creator of it) cant get in to it myself

How are you 'restarting' the secured mdb? The wizard would have created a
desktop shortcut - use that.
