Read Only Folders

I have come across a problem when trying to save to my
folders, all of a sudden they are read only & when i try
to change the atributes it will not let me, can anyone
help please?

That's normal. All folders are read-only. You can still move, delete or
rename them.

That's not exactly true. Folders are marked indeterminate. It's a
tri-part marking system. Checked means read only, shaded means
indeterminate, though as you say the indeterminate marking should not
affect writing to the folder unless the software program is poorly written.
