read only files

Hi I am having trouble erasing audio files,I click on erase this CD-RW and
that is what seems to be happening,but when i check the files are still
there.If I click on delete I get a message saying the file is read only and
am I sure I want to delete it,I click on yes and another message appears
cannot delete track.Files on this CD are read only.You can still copy files
to this CD which will replace the files already there
