Read only files on DVDs

I am trying to erase a DVD+RW, but the main folder and its files are
'read-only'. The folder is 'VIdeo TS". I cannot change the read-only
attributes in order to erase the files. Any suggestions?

One can easily erase such a file by formatting the entire DVD-RW
disc.
 
What third party program are you trying to use..? XP does not have the
inbuilt ability on it's own to write or erase DVD-/+RW media or write to DVD
media period.. You would need a (UDF) packet writing app like Nero's InCd, or
other. etc..
