Read-Only error for Access 2002 user

I took a 2002 Access database, modified it using Access 2003, and sent it
back to the user whom only has Access 2002. This user gets the error message
saying that it is "Read-only". Why? And what can I do to prevent this? I was
under the impression that modifying a 2002 database would not automatically
update it with 2003 features. There has to be a way that I can modify the
2002 database without affecting its usability for the user.

How did you send it back? On a CD-ROM by any chance? If that's the case,
find the file in Windows Explorer, right-click on it to get Properties, and
uncheck the Read-only box.
