read-only embedded fonts

A customer sent me a file to edit; however, when I open the file I get a dialogue box that says 'Document cannot be edited because it contains a read-only embedded font'. When I click ok, the file opens, but I'm not able to edit it. I'd ask the customer if she knows what's going on, but she's the proverbial lost ball. Any suggestions? Thanks

G'day Rob <[email protected]>,

Have you explored the various Save As options?

That was part of the problem, it wouldn't let me save either. However, I did finally call the customer, have her open the tools menu on her toolbar, go to options, then to the save tab. There she had embedded fonts checked. I had her uncheck it, resave the file, and that fixed it. She told me that I wasn't the only person who had been complaining that they couldn't work on her doc's. Thanks for the input!
