Can anyone give me some advice on this..
I had to use the repair-function on Win XP home edition because of some
virus damage. However, once the reinstallation had completed, I recieve the
message that I have to reactivate within 16 days or so, although I've already
have. The problem is, I've used up those 2 times I can reactivate on my
current license, and there's my problem.
Is there any way I can make my copy fully functioning again without having
to go through the activate-process?

There is no limit to the amount of times you can reactivate on the same
computer. You have been misinformed.

Mike;
"I've used up those 2 times"?
Where does that come from?
There is no limit how many times you can activate on the original computer.
Simply activate as requested.
If internet activation fails, choose the option to activate by phone.
Call Microsoft at the displayed number, done in about 5 minutes.

Just activate it.

There's no limit to the number of times you can reinstall and
activate the same WinXP license on the same PC. Nor is there ever a
charge. Nor does a Product Key (so long as it's not an evaluation
license) ever expire. If it's been more than 120 days since you last
activated that specific Product Key, you'll most likely be able to
activate via the Internet without problem. If it's been less, you
might have to make a 5 minute phone call.

Here are the facts pertaining to activation:
