reactivate XP

I had to reformat a new hard disk. Then I reinstalled my
old XP. Now I have been trying to reactivate XP for a
number of days and I have seven days left. The whole
thing is absurd. Can you help me find a simpler way of
reactivating my XP please?

Choose the alternative option to "activate by phone".

When I use the phone method, it sounds as if someone in
India is answering. Then the system says the long string
of numbers is not recognized. No one seems to be able to
active my XP.

It is entirely simple. Connect to the Internet; then go to
Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - Activate Windows
and use
Activate on the Internet, which will take about 20 seconds.

If it does not it is likely to be a result of damage caused by some
third party program. This can usually be cured by Start - Run and run
the two lines
regsvr32 licdll.dll
regsvr32 regwizc.dll

"WPA_Kill.exe" -- available for free download on the Internet,
takes about a quarter of a second to run, eliminates all XP
activation headaches.
