Reactivating xp

Had computer cleaned due to many viruses. Now i get message that I have
23days (and reducing daily) to activate windows. I have gone to activation
page & tried to activate when I do w/ computer it says product key
unauthorized when on tlelphone states Instalation ID not valid .What can I do
or hwo can I find a human to talk to. Don't know much about computers

I assume that "cleaned" means that you had the hard drive formatted
and then Windows reinstalled. That is the "capital punishment"
version of cleaning but sometimes there is no other way.

Was your Windows XP CD used for the reinstall or did the cleaner use a
different one? That could be the cause of your problem.

We need more information about your exact Windows XP, especially if it
came bundled with your computer when it was purchased new and also
what sort of installation media you have. Does it say that it is a
"system recovery" disk?
