Reactivating Windows XP

People, i just reformatted my pc, how do i reactivate my
key ? i can't do anything.. i can't call microsoft
support, mum will scold me.. any way i could contact the
support ? my cd is a OEM version.

You either activate over the Internet - this may be refused if you activated
previously a short time ago. In this case you need to call the number and
activate over the phone. It is not calling product support. The activation
number for your country is given to you by the wizard (most are
freephone/toll free)

Get on the net, go to
Start - All Programs - Accessories - System Tools - Activate Windows
and use 'Activate on the net'. Provided you have not changed a lot of
hardware it will go through in about 20 seconds.

And general warning - make sure you have the Firewall enabled before you
go on the net even for a moment
