Reached max on distribution list??

I got a message when adding students to the my All School Families
distribution list that said something about reaching its max. Can I change
the max to all for all 222 students?

If not, I was thinking of creating two separate distribution lists called
All School Families A-L and All School Families M-Z. If I want to send out
an email to the entire student body (all 222 students), can I input BOTH
distribution lists for the single email and then will it work...or is it
based on recipients, so then it won't work since it'll be maxed out?

How can I accomplish what I want to do?

You may have hit the max for your mail server, in which case there's nothing
you can do about it unless you manage the server also. Some mail servers
limit the amount of recipients on a message as a spam limiting measure.

Our school outsources its IT work, so I was going to ask them if they can
change the max. I guess I just wanted to know if this number CAN BE
changed????

Let's say I DO manage our mail server, what steps do I need to take to change
the max amount?
