Re: URGENT! Taskbar is gone!

No luck, its not so much that the programs don't minimize, its the fact
that, if there is no toolbar (quick launch, language) on the start menu, it
will not allow me to resize it to make it appear. I can see the little grey
line, and it shows the two-way arrow when I put my mouse over it, but it
won't let me actually resize it.

Hmm, I hear what you are saying and that edit usually restores the function,
as that is the same behavior. Your case may be different for some odd
reason.

This one is a bit different, but not much. See if it helps and good luck!

Restore Taskbar to Default Functionality (Line 164)
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

Note: Do not reboot or logoff. Once the edit is merged, right click the
Notification Area/Task Manager/Processes. Highlight Explorer.exe, End
Process.

Leave the Task Manager open. Once the process has ended, choose File/New
Task and type in: Explorer.exe.

OMFG THANK YOU SO MUCH! I have been so worried about what I might have had
to do to my comp if I couldn't find an easy fix. I've seen ur site b4 and
it is amazing. I've added it to my sig. BTW, why did that happen, and what
did that reg file do to the registry? THANK YOU SOOO MUCH!
