re updates to service pack

hi all......... have windows xp pro.......sp2 service pack installed
updates are needed... however installed sp3........will the sp2
updates have to been installed as well? thanks for your reply

There is no released SP3 for Windows XP. As of the end of march of this
year, MS says it won't be out till 2008.

Let Windows Update figure out what updates are needed. If your system has
only SP2, there are about 80 or so other updates available.

The SP3 you are referring to might be an MS Office service pack as Windows
XP SP2 is currently the latest version.
