Re Ram Question

Hi
Ive got a
how can i find out what Ram to use?
Ive got:
Processor: x86 Family 6 Model 3 Stepping 1 AuthenticAMD
~906 Mhz
Motherboard is soltek
AMD Duron
On the Ram stick it doenst say anything only has a bar
code... ive changed Ram heaps of times without knowing
what it is which is stupid.
But i need to know which ram i need because my Ram is
faulty. Please help me

Hi Ivan,

Go to www.crucial.com and use the wizard to determine the correct type. Or,
download a motherboard manual for your system (usually in pdf form) and read
it.

Best is to find the motherboard Maker and model number - get the free
Aida 32, enterprise edition from
http://www.aida32.hu/aida-download.php?bit=32
which is an excellent general System Info tool, and its Motherboard -
Motherboard page will tell you in Motherboard Name. Also the speed of
effective clock in Memory Bus properties just below

Then go to www.crucial.com and use their advisor tool to look that up -
it will tell you just which modules are appropriate for the board. If
it offers more than one speed variant, make sure you use one that
matches what you have. Crucial is then a good value supplier of highly
reliable modules
