re-naming or deleting photos dosn't happen immediately

when i either delete or rename a photo in my shared photos folder, the change
dosn't happen immediately like it used to. I have to close the window, then
re-open it to see my changes. Anyone know why, and how to fix? Windows XP
SP2 Home Edition.
 
additional info.....this only happens in the "shared pictures" folder, and
not in the "my pictures" folder.
