re-installing

I use Norton antivirus but keep getting error messages
when trying to run live update. I'm told to uninstall &
reinstall the program, but how would I do that w/out
having to purchase another subscription?

I would ask Symantec customer support. We deal with Windows XP issues in
this newsgroup.
