re-installing XP

We are having so many problems with viruses, (even Norton
hasn't helped completely) we are considering uninstalling
XP, then reinstalling all over again. What is the best
way to accomplish this?

Also, we have a PC in another room. We tried XP upgrade
on it, w/out much success. Can we do the same thing to
that computer and can we use the same XP CD on 2
different computers? Or do we have to purchase another XP
operating system? Expensive! Thank you.

One copy of XP per computer, so two computers = two separate copies of XP.
