Re-installing XP pro

If I delete my hard drive/recreate the partition/re-
formatthe drive and do a clean install of windows XP pro
do I have to download SP1 before installing SP2 or can I
install SP2 only?
 
Hi

There is no need to reinstall SP1. SP2 is cumulative, so includes all
previous Updates.
 
SP2 replaces SP1 in its entirety, therefore you should
only install SP2.

You may wish to create a slipstreamed version of
Windows XP with SP2. Then SP2 is automatically
installed during installation.

Either one of the following utilities makes slipstreaming
(integrating) SP2 into Windows XP a breeze:
