I was wondering if any one knows if, with re-installing XP
Pro will recognize the partions I've made already and if I
can Redo them?

Hi,

Reinstalling should not affect your partitions unless you choose to delete
them and create new ones. Be aware that doing this would result in the loss
of all data currently on any partition that is deleted.

When you reinstall xp, during it's installation, it will ask what
drive/partition you want to install xp to. Now, because you already have xp
on your pc, setup will search for any other versions of windows on your
machine. Obviously it will find one. So now you have the option of, either
repairing or installing a new copy. Repairing is self explanatory. If you
choose to install a new copy a window will appear displaying your C: drive
along with any other partitions you have on that drive. If you read the
instructions carefully on the screen you will see that you can delete a
partition and create a partition.
Personally i would simply instruct setup to install xp on your c: patition
and then, at the next screen, reformat the partition in your desired file
format - fat32 or ntfs. Once xp has been installed you can easily delete and
recreate your other partitions from the disk managment window of
administrative tools. Just remember to backup any important files or
documents before reinstalling and/or deleting partitions.

Hope this helps

No problem with recognizing existing partitions, but the partitioning
tools in Windows (all versions) are crude and blunt instruments. I'd suggest
Partition Magic if you want to manage, add, delete or re-size partitions.
