Re-installing WindowsXP

T

Terri Creagh

I am posting this message to several newsgroups to make sure I get a
response, so I apologize in advance for that.

Is there a way to reinstall Windows XP without re-formatting my hard drive?
My sister's computer is so infested with spyware and adware that it is a
mess! We've tried all the usual programs to fix it (Spybot, AdAware,
CWShredder), but I just think we also need to re-install a clean copy of
Windows XP at this point. The problem is that she and my brother-in-law
have documents they use for work, and my niece has a lot of her school work
on this computer. They are not very computer-savvy, so I am trying to help
them. If there is any way to re-install Windows XP without copying all the
documents and re-formatting the hard drive, I would really like to be able
to do that. Can you help me?

Thank you.

Terri

Use the file-transfer-wizard,set computer as old, select the data to transfer,
transfer data to a new folder you create(desktop is good),then when its thru,
transfer data to a cd.To install a "clean copy" one must reformat the hd and
reinstall xp.
