re-installation issue

xp home edition upgrade installed over win '98...

now have new hard drive which i want as the main drive...
& want fresh xp installation...
but no longer have win '98 cd...
only have the xp upgrade cd

help ???

Any time you use an upgrade CD, the product you upgraded from gets tied to
the upgarde, and iyou may not sell or give it away.

If you want to do a clean installation with your Upgrade CD, you need a
previous qualifying product. Fortunately, used copies of Windows 98 aren't
expensive and you should be able to pick one up for very little, but this
time hang onto it.
