Re-Install XP Sp2

I have a XP Home SP2 install that is old. I need to rebuild it. I have the
original XP Home CD and have SP downloaded ready to add on top. Will do
dis-connected from Internet.

Q is - how do I get the install started. When I am in XP and install the
original XP CD it tells me it can't install because the version on the PC is
newer. When I boot with a Win98 CD with CD support and run setup.exe won't
run in DOS mode. Trying to boot DELL PC to CD but that isn't working.

What is the way to get this done?

Put in CD, set the machine to boot from CD first - reboot the PC - follow
on-screen directions.
