I have a task that has been assigned to a colleague but want to re-assign it
to someone else.

But I don't have the option to do so anymore. Nor does my colleague.

Is there any way to force a re-assign? Any other ideas?

May thanks,

Lawrence

The current owner can reassign it.

Or .....

you can open your copy (assuming you kept an updated copy on your
Tasklist) and make a copy (on the Details Tab) then assign it to someone
else.

Hi Judy,

I am experiencing the issue of not being about to accept task assignments.
this started after the security update on 1/12/06 I believe. i can assign
tasks to someone that has NOT taken the download and they can accept. the
issue comes when they or anyone else that HAS taken the new update try and
assign to me or anyone else who has had the update. you don't have the
ability to accept or decline the tasks anymore. any news on an update in
progress? i can see a bunch of people having issues within news groups and
here with this issue. Please reply.

Thanks,

Jason

I've seen that issue a few times too - I don't recall seeing an answer -
post again with that problem and/or do a search as there have been recent
posts on it.
