rdp problem

for some reason a Dell laptop allows internet access to limited user but
mstsc does not work.

what can I do to fix the problem?

the laptop is using XP pro with sp2 integrated

Did you configure your firewall to allow unsolicited inbound connections
on port 3389 (the port that RDP uses)?
 
Don't think firewall is a problem as the mstsc program has been marked as
trusted
Furthermore the Admin can use mstsc to connect but not regular user
