Hi all,

I want to login into windows 2000 server /windows server 2003 via RDP,
using Smartcard.

For this, what is to be done for this?

Are they any settings to be done for this?

Please help me.

Can anyone say, what is the user group for Windows Server 2003?

with regards,
Prem.

Windows 2003 support smart card authentication through the
RDP stream. All you need is to have the client setup
properly and the server accepting smart card
authentication.

While I haven't done any smart card redirections, I do
know that you need the latest version of the RDP client on
the client computer. You need to turn on smart card
redirection at the client under the Client Resource
Redirection.

Thanks Harris,

I have the latest RDp Client 5.2. and have the Gemplus Smart CArd.

I was told to press ALT + CTRL + END to logon into Windows 2000
Server.

When trying to connect to the 2000 Server, I pressed Alt + Ctrl + End,
and inserted my smart CArd. But it was not getting recognised.

What should I do in the Server side to configure the smart card in the
windows 2000 Server.

with regards,
Ranga.
