Hi lister,

I am not sure whether I am in the right groups.

I have a laptop which is connect to a sbs 2003 server and I need to remotely
login from time to time but the thing is when it goes into hiberation, I
cannot logon. Is there any setting which I would do for me to rdp in even
when it is in hiberation.

Many thanks,

Smiley

Hi guy,

Thank you for the info.

More questions.

1. how do I know or what test would I do on my pc/laptop to check whether
the machine support wake on lan
2. I presume the software need to install on the server and have the laptop
list under the RWW.
3. Do I need to have any special requirement on the pc which is remotely
logon to the laptop ?
4. Where can I purchase / get license for this software mentioned.
5. any other choices ?

Many thanks

Get into the BIOS during boot and look for it. Many machines will only
wake from a full power off state. The BIOS entry should say which of the
ACPI S states can be woken. Machines without onboard LAN may need an
extra cable between NIC and MB.
