RDP Error

I have been able to connect to my small business server remotely for some
time now, but now i cannot connect to any desktop on the network.

I can VPN in and connect successfully. When I try to connect to ANY desktop
using RDP I get the error: "Because of a protocol error, this session will be
disconnected. Please try connecting to the remote computer again."

I will get the drop down screen to log on to the machine but then i get the
message and it kicks me out. I have tried to connect to every machine on the
network and i get the same error.

I am not behind a router, it is a direct DSL connection, and like I said, I
was able to connect in the past.

Any help? thanks in advance.

Have you talked to the ISP about this? Perhpas they have changed something.

It was a DHCP problem...it is now solved. DHCP was running on the router. I disabled DHCP on the router and enabled it on the server. Everything is working fine now.

Thanks for the reply!

Thanks for the reply!

Excellent, glad you got it solved. Thanks for the follow up post,
however you originally said there was no router involved.

Sorry for not being clear in my response....I disabled DHCP on the server-side at the router and enabled DHCP on the server...the client was then able to connect.
