RDP client not able to connect to 64bit Server 2008 machines

I'm having trouble connecting to Windows Server 2008 x64 machines. My
machine is Vista Business SP1, 32 bit. I'm not positive if the problem is
caused by the fact that I installed IE8 but I've been having problems since
upgrading. I just can't say for sure that IE8 caused it because I didn't
test connectivity right after installing it.

Anyway, I can RDP to 32 bit servers fine...even if they're Server 2008 but
when I try to connect to a 64 bit version of Server 2008, my client hangs for
ever. Never exits or displays an error. I have gathered an etl file but am
not sure where to post it. I am able to RDP to the 64 bit machines from XP
or other Vista machines fine.

Any help would be appreciated!

It works fine for me, I have several Win2008 and R2 x64 computers. Is
it possible it's a firewall/AV issue? I assume the servers have Remote
access turned on in Control Panel/System? Is anything in local group
policy set up to prevent this? You can google on it to see some of those
settings.

Usually different programs are run on the servers that might be more
robust or work differently. If you are able to, you might try turning
off all the security stuff and see if it works, then narrowing it down.
