RDC behind a router

I Have a USR Wireless Router. Able to make a RDC from my
laptop to my desktop locally (with computer name) but
can't establish a RDC with IP adress (static) over the
net. Is there a router setting to do ? (redirect port
3389 (TCP or UDP ?) to my local IP desktop adress ?).
Also have Norton Personnal Firewall => other settings to
make ?

Remote Desktop uses TCP Port 3389. You would need to forward/open that port on the router and in
Norton.
