RC2 overRC1........

a.. Upgrades from Vista RC1 are valid.
a.. Upgrades from Windows XP SP2 are encouraged.
a.. Upgrades from any other build are not supported or recommended.
 
When I try to install, the only option is "New Install" Upgrade is
"blocked" Should I install from RC 1 instead of from "boot?"

If you want to upgrade, then yes, start the install from RC1 desktop.
 
Well, I would do that, but now I see that my CD-0ROM/ CD-DVD are not loading
properly in Vista........ Strange as they are fine when I go back to WinXP!
Anyone else experiencing this ??

You may have no problems, or, on the other hand you may. I haven't been
able to do an update yet.
You'll never know until you try.
