Succesfully downloaded the File, However I have tried to burn it with free
shareware but nothing will work with Vista, I am running Version 5384. Can
anyone link me to a free Burner that will actually run with Vista. So that I
can burn the file to DVD and then actually install it. Thanks everyone!

it works flawlessly and fast and it's free - what more can you ask.

Nero.com have a free trial of nero 7 for 1 month. You can burn DVDs with that.

Try BurnOnCD/DVD at http://www.burnworld.com/burnoncddvd/

It's free if you don't mind a couple of ads. Works great for me in BETA 2
and RC1.

I've tried everything listed in these forums and the only one that worked in
Vista was Imgbrn. I right-clicked the install file and selected "run as
administrator" just to make sure it wouldn't give me any hassle and was
finally able to burn the RC1 iso. I burned at 2x.

Tried to install the trial of Nero7 in Vista RC1 and the setup failed. I
guess the setup.exe is not signed or compatible with Vista.

I'll try imgburn and see if that works.

I have the same problem, also successfully downloaded Vista 5728,
used Windows Vista 5600 burner to burn DVD, but still I am not sure that
my DVD is burned properly as it not booting. My DVD contains only one
file Vista_5728.... nothing else. When trying to start upgrade existing
Vista 5600 it does almost nothing. So, what I'm doing wrong?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks !

Eventually I have done it too. It was all the time the DVD burner problem.
I'm running RC1 Build 5600 and installation went with no problems at all.

Everything had been sorted out. Both 5600 & 5728 are running well
at last.

I have installed RC1 on my desktop. I have two internal and one external
disk drives.
The installation completed well and everything seems to be working fine. One
(huge) problem: vista is not mounting my second drive (even though it
recognizes it as being there). It mounts the 0 disk and the external one,
but not the second. When I pull up the disk manager it sees the hardware and
vclaims that its working properly, but it does not mount the filesusystem -
it only offers to create a basic partioin on this disk (i.e. - lose the
oringal data). Originally I run XP on this desktop and had no problems with
the drive. With XP this disk had a dynamic partition (I don't remember why
it was set up this way).

Any ideas on how I can recover the data from this disk?

Thank you,
Jacob
