RC1 install problem: Disk does not meet the criteria to install vi

I have a dual boot system with winXP pro and Vista beta2.
Both installed on my 120 GB maxtor DM8 S-ata disk attached to my Silicon
Image onboard RAID controller on my ASUS A7n8x deluxe rev 2.0 mainboard.

I want to install RC1 on the partition with the beta2 installed on it.
During the installating I use the same external RAID controller drivers that
I used for beta2.
It detects my harddrives and I can format that certain partition. But when I
want to install on that partition (which is 30 GB in size) it indicates that
that diskdrive does not meet the minimum requirements for installing windows
Vista while it surely has enough free diskspace.

Does anyone know how to handle that problem?

I had same problems. Tried everything and at the end I unplugged all but
one hard disk (SATA) and then it went fine.

If this happened during setup from within XP for your dual boot, try
restarting and running setup from there. It has happened to me now since
5472, inclu. 5536 and RC1 and restarting allowed setup to run fine.
