About a year ago, I began using my Nikon D70 to shoot in RAW format. There is
a downloadable plug-in from Adobe upgrading PhotoShop CS so that I could edit
in RAW, and then save in any other format of my choice. I am sure that no
reader of this newsgroup would be unaware of this. The application (a year
ago) would open the RAW photo and there would be a significant number of
sliders to amend temperature, exposure, colour and many other things.
I stopped using it and have only just started again. But now, the large
number of sliders and advanced technical aids have disappeared, and have been
replaced by a very crude little box, showing the photo, with just one slider.
It is also very slow to operate. What can have happened? I do have a download
of Raw Shooter Essentials by Pixmatic which fortunately still provides me
with all the assistance with RAW photos that I can no longer get with Pshop.
I am awaare that Adobe have bought the Pixmatic program. Does this mean that
I have to pay Adobe for a download of an advanced program that previously
came included with PhotoShop CS?
I would be grateful if someone can update me on the current position.
