RAS on W2K Server

I have installed RAS on a 2K server DC.
I have two modems hooked up to both Com ports.
One modem on com port 2 works fine.
The other initially com port 1 did not work.
I am getting an error that says the port is in use.
Or already open.
I have tried changing the number of the com port but
nothing seems to work. Does anyone have any other ideas?
THe modem is a 3com 56k.

Unless there is Windows XP involved anywhere in the equation, this is the
wrong place to be posting. Please repost in one of the 30 Windows 2000
groups - I'll let you choose which you think would be the most pertinent.

With that attitude I don't expect you'll be receiving assistance anywhere,
anytime soon....Why post to a WINDOWS XP *basics* group with an issue with
Windows 2000 SERVER?! You really expected to receive a reply beyond someone
telling you to post in the correct place?!

How do you know I can't? If you were posting in the correct group I would
gladly assist you. I just don't believe in cluttering up a group with
completely off topic posts. Oh, and I've just re-read my original reply and
I cannot find anything in it any one would find the least bit
offensive...Except you, it would appear...Do I think you're worried about
