RAS, Lan Routing, and Demand-dial routing

I'm about to install RRAS and it mentioned during the
process I'll be asked if I want to set up RAS, Lan
Routing, and Demand-dial routing.

I'm needing to install this to get VPN functionality,
which is my ultimate goal. I have a Windows 2000 active
server set up, with a domain. I'm also using a Linksys
router.

My question, why would I want to set up RAS, Lan Routing,
and Demand-dial routing on my server?

Any documentation would be appreciated. Thanks, Mike

You want to just do a manual configuration. Then you will be set up for 5
incoming pptp connections. In the linksys set a port forward for TCP/1723 to
the IP of the server and make sure the router also forwards GRE 47. Some of
the linksys's didn't.

That should be it. :)
