RAS and remote connections

I'm about to install RAS on one of my Windows 2003 servers, the file server
to be exact.

I want to grant access to a few people to work from home and I also need
some developers to get access to my DB server Via RAS but I beleive they will
all need a terminal emulation to do what they require.

I believe Windows 2003 Srv comes with terminal services installed for one
Admin session and remote desktop and I'm trying to figure out what the best
way to get what I need done.

Get Terminal services licensing for 5 users? Do I need to install it on both
servers?

How does the licencing work?

Do I need terminal services?

Any help is appreciated.

Hello.
You have a lot of options. You could use RAS, or you could use Terminal
Services. 2003 has the ability to do both Remote Administration and Terminal
Services. They are similar, yet very different. Based on your questions, I
would recommend hiring a consultant to better explain your options, and to
find a solution that fits your needs and is also secure.
