Randomness afforded by Shuffle Play in Media Player

I have noticed that Media Player's "shuffle play" repeats some songs
with some degree of regularity as opposed to a true random "shuffle"!

I have a lot of songs in my MP3 data base, so I figure the probability
of the same song being repeated in any single session has to be close
to the odds for winning the lottery.

Has anyone run across this irregularity or non-randomness ?

Wrong! Shuffle play could play the same song two or
three times in a row. The odds state that the same song
could repeat many times within a certain time frame.
I will stick with this and not the lottery.
