Random reboots

I have a workstation that is now rebooting twice a day,
sometimes more.
When I look into the event log I find the following
bugcheck:
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck
was: 0x10000050 (0x8d472ce6, 0x00000001, 0xbfa2995b,
0x00000000). A dump was saved in:
C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini030304-01.dmp.

I also find the following errors:

Error code 10000050, parameter1 e1856108, parameter2
00000000, parameter3 bf9dc167, parameter4 00000001.

Error code 10000050, parameter1 e17f2108, parameter2
00000000, parameter3 bf9dc167, parameter4 00000001.

Event ID is 1003, Source - System Error

I have been looking for this event ID and bugcheck info
all morning and have only found bugcheck ID's "kinda"
close but nothing descibed to the problem we are seeing.
There haven't been any changes to the machine since this
started happening 2 weeks ago.
We have changed the power scheme to home office/desk and
all other options to never but I am not convinced thios
is the problem.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Random errors are usually tied to hardware issues. It could be bad RAM,
overheating, power supply problems, or other factors. Here are some
generic hardware troubleshooting steps:

1) open the computer and run it open, cleaning out all dust bunnies and
observing all fans (overheating will cause system freezing); 2) test
the RAM - I like Memtest86 from www.memtest86.com - let the test run
for an extended (like overnight) period of time - unless errors are
seen immediately; 3) test the hard drive with a diagnostic utility from
the mftr.; 4) the power supply may be going bad or be inadequate for
the devices you have in the system; 5) test the motherboard with
something like TuffTest from www.tufftest.com. Testing hardware
failures often involves swapping out suspected parts with known-good
parts. If you can't do the testing yourself and/or are uncomfortable
opening your computer, take the machine to a good local computer repair
shop (not a CompUSA or Best Buy type of store).

This was actually the first thing I checked. I made sure
that the system was clean and all definitions were
updated.
I did run a driver update from Microsoft to make sure it
was not related to drivers and it did find 4 updates. It
also found 14 critical patches that needed to be
installed.
I am going to let it run overnight to see how it goes and
if anything I will restage and test the hardware.
Thanks for the memory check tool!

check to see if you have a virus, some of the new
viruses out there will shutdown your pc, the blaster worm
will do this
