Random outdated reminders?

Does anyone else receive random outdated reminders of birthdays,
anniversaries, or other events? Out of the clear blue, we periodically
receive a reminder of a birthday that may be 51 weeks overdue, for example!
In other words, the event will actually be ready to reoccur in about a week.
Any thoughts on why we get these unexpected random late reminders?

Yes, I have this problem,too. Unfortunately I could not yet figure out
when it happens, because it does not happen with all the events. It
surely is annoying. Especially since I don't know if "dismiss" will
cancel the reminder for the "true" event (i.e. in one week for
example).
