Clean install XP Pro SP1, new mobo (K7VTA3), and CPU (Athlon 2600)...The
first few days it went great...Now it'll freeze on boot up, or surfing the
'net, or any other thing...No rhyme or reason...It could take 5 minutes or 2
hours...Ctrl+Alt+Del doesn't even work...Frozen solid...

Any ideas?

Did you enable your firewall and AV software before connecting to the net?
Did you then immdiately update your AV software and DL XP security patches?
If you connected before enabling your firewall then viruses and/or worms
have probably found their way into your computer. This can happen within
seconds of connecting if you didn't have firewall up.
Not necessarily your problem but just a possibility to throw at you.

I think I figured it out...I changed video cards, and so far so good...I was
using an older Rage 128 Pro 4X AGP, and I put in a newer Rage 128 Pro 32X
AGP...

And yes, before I connected my cable modem, I installed Zone Alarm 4.5 and
Norton AV...And the first thing I do is download the newest virus
definitions...

Thanks for your help...
