RAMASST error box

Every time I boot my machine, I get this error box window titled RAMASST with
a message that starts out "The windows xp standard cd-r/rw writing function
is active" and continues asking if I want to deactivate it.

(Note: I recently turn this feature on so that I could record a CD-R. But,
now I'm puzzled why it would continue asking this question everytime I
reboot.)

So...
1. I do not want to say "yes" to the error box message, that is to "turn off
the CD-R/RW writing function".
2. Plus, I do not want to see this question the next time I boot up after
I've told it "no".

Can you help solve this problem under these conditions?

Thanks,

You have to use one program or the other to burn CDs or else screw around
changing settings all of time.

If you are going to use XP's CD burner, then disable whatever ramasst.exe
belongs to and disable ramasst.exe from starting at boot.

If you are going to use whatever ramasst.exe belongs to's CD burning
capabilities, then leave XP's CD burner DISABLED.

Having this selected: "Enable CD Recording on this drive" will mess up the
other CD burning program.

To disable XP's recording wizard

Open My Computer, double-click the My Computer icon on the desktop.
Right click your CD drive
Click Properties
Click the Recording tab
UNCheck: Enable CD Recording on this drive check box
Click Apply
Click OK
Close My Computer

"ramasst.exe is a process that gets installed together with common DVD
drives. It is used to disable the XP built-in CD burning functions."

"Optionally installed with some DVD drives (LG, Panasonic, etc). Disables
Windows XP's CD-burning abilities because they cause some incompatibilities.
It does not affect your ability to burn CDs. If you do not have this program
running, you may have some compatibility issues with burnt DVDs."
