My computer is said the ram is getting full and it running real slow. How can
I check my ram and how can I reduce some of it's memory. My computer first
had windows 2000 Me and I had it remove and anded windows XP.

Hold down the Windows key and press Pause/Break. It will tell you how
much RAM you have. Let us know.

If this is a computer that used to run Windows Me, and now runs XP
without having its RAM upgraded, it's very likely that you don't have
enough RAM for XP.

In addition to Ken suggestion you should also
find out the hard drive's total capacity and remaining
free space.

Start/My Computer
Check the list of "Hard Disk Drives"
Typically your (C:) drive Total Size and Free Space

Reply back with your drive info.

To respond to your query intelligently (and without guessing), you
need to tell us exactly what the message says.

I am pretty sure it does not say "system ram is getting full".

What is the CPU and how much RAM does the computer have? Right click on
the My Computer icon on the Desktop and select Properties to get this
information.

Try Ctrl+Alt+Delete to select Task Manager and click the Performance
Tab. Under Commit Charge what is the Total, the Limit and the Peak?

Hope this helps.

I saw 2.6 GB of RAM with 1.8 MB of something. Can't
view it now because
the WinXP crashed when the I clicked on the C drive?
All except Thunderbird and Firefox?
