RAM, HDD, & CD/DVD Rom tests

Anyone with recommendations with utilities to run tests
on RAM, HDD's & CD/DVD Rom's. Just want to run routine
maintenence checks beyond deleting temp files, scandisk,
defrag., etc.

For RAM, I like Memtest. For hard drives, use a manufacturer-specific
diagnostic (although I've been told that Seagate's Seatools will work
on non-Seagate hard drives after complaining). Can't help you on the
CD/DVD drives, but Googling for "CD/DVD drive diagnostic" software
should get you started.
