RAM configuration

Hey, I have a Gigabyte GA-7VT600 with 256MB PC2700 RAM installed in bank 0/1
(locator A0), I remember with old motherboards RAM could only be installed
using matching modules, eg 2 32MB sticks to make up 64MB.

Is this still the case? Or could I add 512MB PC2700 RAM to bank 2/3 (locator
A1) to make up 768MB, then, maybe later, another 256MB module in A3 to make
it up to 1024MB?

TIA!

No need to worry about pairs unless you're trying to get dual channel going,
not sure if your board will support that or not. In any case your board
will take up to 3GB memory. Mix and match on size is fine.
