Raid

RAID requires either support on the mobo and BIOS or an
add-in PCI card. You will need to have the proper drivers,
matching hard drives and a big enough power supply to
support it all.
RAID comes in several modes RAID 0, RAID 1, RAID 5 etc.
Do a Google for RAID, which should be all caps, means
Redundant Array of Independent (or maybe Inexpensive) Disks.

You may run several configurations, you might keep your
standard IDE boot disk and use the RAID array as the My
Documents storage, or you might get a full blown server RAID
array with hot swappable drives.
