Hi

As my pc goes through its boot-up process I get a screen message
"Press Ctrl + S or F4 to enter raid utility"
A friend said that it was slowing down my boot-up
Is that correct? Is it really necessary?

If it's not necessary, how do i get rid of it?
My friend tried, but couldn't

Well if you don't have any drives attached to the RAID controller, you
could go into the BIOS and disable it. Of course if you don't know this,
you should probably leave well enough alone.

Raid is a utility, that means it is a tool to change or alter your system if
you
want to. It is not needed to run your PC and should be disabled when you
start your computer. Disabling does not delete only stops it from starting at
boot time and using valuable system resources. You can start it from the
icon.
Start/Run/type MSCONFIG and click OK
Go to the Startup tab and find your Raid program and uncheck it.
Click Apply and Close. Reboot your PC.
