Raid set up on XP home edition

Y

Yuch

I am trying to install a raid pair on a new system. I have set up two
identical drives in the BIOS on an ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe MB.

The bios set up went OK as far as I can see.

When I try to install XP Home Edition it indicates it can't find the drives.
I used a Western Digital program to supposedly format them but I don't have a
warm fealing they are formated.

I think I am lost with a new system with "nothing on it".

Any help would be appreciated.

Set the BIOS for RAID in advanced chipset section (Integrated Peripherals,or
similiar),once done,set boot device priority (Bootable add-in device,or
similiar),
once thru, save & exit BIOS,press the keyboard keys for the RAID configuration
utility & create a RAID set.Once thru,boot to xp cd,press F6 to install RAID
drivers from floppy disk that pc mfg included, load drivers for proper
controller,
once thru, exit, continue on to xp cd installation...Also,set BIOS with cdrom
as
1st device,hd (RAID) 2nd,until xp is installed..Also,delete the
partition,create
new one, then let xp format the hds & install auto.Youre wdc formatting is
worthless in this situation...
